Antžeminėje artilerijoje labiausiai paplitę dvikojai lafetai. Trikojė ir keturkojė atrama reikalinga pabūklams, galintiems šaudyti aplinkui (prieštankinė ir zenitinė artilerija, kai kurie kt. pabūklai).
